The Ministerial Statement and KPS Sell-Down

Reading THE STAR yesterday, I believe the statement of the Energy,Water and Communications Minister is the possible reason for the shooting down of KPS' s share prices. He reiterated that state governments which have not yet corporatized their water supply departments will not be issued a license by the National Water Services Commission to operate water supply services. The Water Services Industry Act (WSI) Act will be enforced in the last quarter of 2007.

Eventhough Selangor has corporatised its water supply departments, Pahang has not. Anyway, I believe Pahang will be expediting this as the Water Transfer project gets going. KPS's price should be steady with an upward bias as we move into the next three months.
