Comet Bursa

After the first attempt yesterday, it broke the 1,300 points today; adding 8 points in the process. The Composite Index at the end of today’s trading was 1,306.34. Well done Bursa!

Now comes, the hard part. Can Bursa sustain itself? I think fund-managers have been buying the last two days. Most were Singaporean funds buying up Genting and Resorts World before the share split tomorrow.

KPS could not sustain itself after the adrenaline buying rush yesterday. It surrendered five sen to close at RM1.25 on a volume of 48,057 lots; just about half of what was done yesterday.

It would be interesting to see how the market will hold up tomorrow now that the psychological level has been breached; or is it just a flash in the pan and will go puff like the smoke from Scarlett's cigarette?
