Porch Illumination!

To continue from yesterday’s posting, we plain forgot to buy a fluorescent lamp from the Giant Hypermarket at Kelana Jaya. So this morning, I strode over to the neighbourhood electrical supplies shop in Paramount Garden and bought me a fluotone daylight fluorescent tube. It costs me RM4.00. The sales lady told me I could get the housing for RM10.00 if I wanted to change that as well.

So now it is up to the wifey to put the tube into the lamp housing. Butterfingers has retired from such chores after yesterday’s dismal performance.

In the afternoon, when my son got home from school, he brought down the ladder once more and my wife fixed the new lamp tube into the two slot-ends. The switch was turned on and walla! There was light! God must surely be on her side, not mine!

So, gloating sheepishly, she then said that it was so simple a task and anyone could do it except me. Well, good for her. Now that I am branded incapable of doing such tasks, perhaps I could apply my talents elsewhere.
